Connection: Fixing Nitrogen - seed paper greeting card
The Connection series explores the magic of the world we can't see beneath our feet and in the air. So much of our planet relies on things we don't see and truly understand.
There are some plants that have the ability to pluck airborne nitrogen form the breeze, synthesize it, and bring it to their roots, feeding the soil. This process isn't done by the plant alone, but with the help of soil microbes. Not all plants can do this. Most well know is the humble legume family. Is a way that nature has created to provide soil nutrients without the use of chemicals.
Unique greeting card of Jennifer's farm inspired artwork on plantable wildflower seed paper. An ideal way to send your feeling and give the gift of plants as well.
Each card is 4"x5" and comes with it's own recycled, unbleached kraft paper envelope.
Plantable paper is a biodegradable eco-paper made with post-consumer and post-industrial paper waste that is embedded with seeds. (No trees harmed for this paper!) When the paper is planted in a pot of soil, the seeds grow and the paper composts away.
