Relief Printmaking Workshop - Make your own edition of cards

AUGUST WORKSHOP ON FARM 

An introductory workshop to linocut and relief printmaking. You will be taken through all the steps on creating your own one colour linocut for a personalized open edition card that you can then hand colour.

We will cover:

• Creating your image
• Transferring your image to the lino block
• Different tools used for cutting
• Cutting the lino block
• Different ways of inking up your print block and what to look for
• Ways to print with and without a press
• Ways to dry lino prints effectively
• Printing on different materials
• Different types of papers for printmaking
• Signing and numbering print editions

This workshop is ideal if you want to try printmaking a try. We will be focusing on straight forward ways of printmaking that can be taken home with minimal tool investment.

Time: 12-4 pm. drinks and snacks included.
